Ranger

We are now recruiting for the exciting new post of Ranger. Working out of Action 21's head office in Jephson Gardens, this post will be supoprting Warwick District Council as well as Action 21.
The role is:
- To co-ordinate the day to day use of the Gardens’ attractions
- To identify opportunities and develop links with schools and community groups throughout the District to deliver conservation, sustainable living, environmental and heritage education sessions and to create community ownership and awareness of the Gardens.
- To develop and support a “Friends’ Group” for the Gardens and to manage the volunteers within the Gardens
- To develop strong relationships with the Police, PCSOs, the Council’s Community Safety Unit and other relevant groups to ensure that anti-social behaviour within the Gardens is minimized. To undertake evidence gathering and recording and to give evidence in court proceedings as necessary. To undertake regular and comprehensive checks within the Gardens, ensuring all problems are accurately recorded, promptly dealt with and/or reported upwards as appropriate.
- To collect and record management information on usage, customer experience and satisfaction etc. To provide a high profile presence within the Gardens and to act as the main point of customer contact, dealing with enquiries, service requests and complaints.
- To assist the Council with exploring and developing options for income generation related to Jephson Gardens and Mill Gardens.
