Shop Manager

We require a practical and versatile people manager with retail experience, excellent customer care skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. This role requires a strong capability to multi task, as you will be simultaneously overseeing daily operations and projects at The Re-Useful Centre, whilst coordinating the activities of shop volunteers.

The role includes monitoring, receiving, pricing and processing donations, displaying stock, maintaining Health and Safety guidelines and interacting with the general public. You will work on a rota with one other member of staff, maintaining our re-use shop operation, which is open seven days a week. You will have shared responsibility for overseeing and developing the re-use projects at The Re-Useful Centre in accordance with our charitable aims and policies, including the Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) workshop and the Bike Workshop.

Salary: £18,743 per annum pro rata i.e. £14,994 per annum for a 0.8 FTE appointment.

Hours: 4 days a week (8:30 – 16:30) including every other Saturday on rotation

Term of Contract: Initial contract: 6 months with possible extension (subject to a 3 month probation period)
