Project Overview
If you’re already hooked on social networking sites this volunteering opportunity might be just for you!  Use your time to make a difference by communicating with people to tell them about Action 21 and about how they can live more sustainably. We maintain a presence on Facebook and Twitter, plus have an active blog.

Volunteer tasks

  • Researching articles for blogs, posts and/or tweets
  • Posting messages on various sites in accordance with our social media strategy
  • Uploading photo albums to Flickr
  • Compiling a ‘contingency’ 2 week store of blog posts so that they can continue to be posted in the event of absence/illness of volunteer.

Skills/previous experience sought

  • Very good level of literacy
  • Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Blogger
  • Experience of researching and writing up information
  • Good computer literacy.

Minimum age: 18

Times needed:

  • Between one and three hours a week
  • The ability to commit to a minimum of three months in the role is required.
