Recycling Steward at Local Festivals
Project Overview
Action 21 provides a recycling service at various local events and festivals including Leamington’s Peace Festival and Warwick Folk Festival.
At last year’s Peace Festival we diverted over 1.8 tonnes of waste generated by the festival from landfill!
Volunteer tasks
• Work in a team to collect rubbish on site.
• Sort the rubbish for recycling
Skills/previous experience sought
• None – just enthusiasm!
Benefits of volunteering:
• This one-off volunteering activity provides an opportunity to do something positive in your community and learn more about Action 21’s activities.
• Volunteers are asked to give 2-4 hours of their time and in return receive a free meal voucher for their efforts. This means you’ll have plenty of time before or after your volunteering session to enjoy the festival
