Action 21 says thank you to its volunteers

Action 21 wants to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers who’ve put their all into our projects this year. Everyone at Action 21 has been overwhelmed by their dedication, willingness and hard work. With the support from the volunteers, we’ve been able to start two new food co-ops in Warwick and Sydenham, open a second re-use shop and begin real work on a community allotment at Dobson Lane in Whitnash.

These are volunteers who can cope amazingly with anything; who are adaptable and generous. The volunteers at the Recycle Warehouse have coped wonderfully with the building work in the last couple of months, whilst our office volunteers happily swapped their desks for decorations as they helped set up for our huge Christmas party.

Volunteer Programme Manager Amy Footer says, “The volunteers’ hard work, week in week is what makes our projects so successful.  I’m humbled on a daily basis by their enthusiasm and commitment. I get so much satisfaction from my job and I have the volunteers to thank for that!”

It’s been a great year of growth and new initiatives, and this has only been possible with the amazing support of our wonderful volunteers.
