Peace Festival
Leamington Peace Festival is a free festival featuring two entertainment areas, children's tent, workshop tent, over 120 stalls – charities, activists, spiritual groups, healers, crafts and fair traders.
Action 21 get involved in the Festival every year. As well as having a stall to engage with the public about sustainability and the work of Action 21, Action 21 organise the litter picking and recycling with a team of volunteers. We ask volunteers to give a couple of hours each and in return we give them a food voucher for a free meal at the festival and entrance into our prize draw.
More information about the Peace Festival can be seen at www.peacefestival.org.uk
Peace Festival 2008
Saturday 14th (11am - 9pm) & Sunday 15th (11am - 6pm) June 2008
Would you be able to give a couple of hours to help out with the recycling and litter picking at the festival? There's a free meal and a prize draw on offer for all those that help. Please see the rota and let us know what slot you would like to do as many hands make light hand.
Also, we are looking to have volunteers man the stall. Your role will involve talking to people who visit the Action 21 stall about Action 21 and about sustainability generally. Don't worry - you don't need to be an expert as we'll have some resources and leaflets to help you and a briefing sheet about it. Again, if you would like to help with that, we're looking for people to give an hour or two to speak to people who come to the stall. The rota for this is also online.
Thankyou very much!
