 Project Overview

Action 21’s Re-Useful Centre accepts and sells donated goods to reduce the number of useful items going to landfill and to raise money for sustainability projects in the local community.  We receive many electrical donations which we need to test before reselling.


Volunteer tasks

  • Sorting through electrical donations
  • Keeping the PAT testing area tidy
  • Cleaning goods ready for resale
  • Pricing and creatively displaying goods for sale
  • Keeping the electrical section in the shop stocked, tidy and well-presented.


Skills/previous experience sought

  • No particular experience or skills are required as full training and support will be provided.  We ask individuals to be enthusiastic about the role and willing to learn to work using their initiative.


Minimum age: 18

Times needed:

  • Mon-Sun
  • Volunteers usually commit to a minimum of one shift (9.30am-1pm, 1-4pm) but please speak to us about your circumstances are there is some flexibility.
