One off volunteering opportunities
If you don't want to make a regular commitment to volunteering with us, don't worry - there are plenty of one off opportunities throughout the year to get involved in.
Allotment Volunteer Days
Volunteers required to help with volunteer days at Action 21's allotment at the Black Lane Allotments near Leamington Spa. The particular allotment at Black Lane is used by young children and their families to engage with and learn about food production. Various jobs need doing there which includes moving fruit bushes, planting, levelling soil, clearing nettles and other vegetation, constructing beds, constructing wires and supports for bushes and more.
Volunteers will be fully supervised and briefed when on the allotment. Tools and gloves will be provided. Volunteers will be reimbursed for travel expenses.
CURRENT DATES: Wednesday 9th January 2008, 10am - 3.30pm and Wednesday 20th February 2008, 10am - 3.30pm
Volunteers can drop in when is convenient to them.
Food is Fun event - 'It's a Wrap'
Thursday 14th February 2008.
11am - 2pm, Lillington Youth Centre. People will be making flat breads and there will be a variety of fillings for people to choose from.
Volunteers required to help out with the activities going on including working with children and their families. There will be some setting up and clearing up to do so the more hands on board to help, the better. Volunteers are required anytime between 9am and 3pm - do let me know if you have a little bit of time to spare.
'2008 & Beyond' - Education for Sustainability Event
Volunteers support a group of primary school children around this Education for Sustainability Event at Coombe Country Park, near Coventry, for one day. As a Group Leader you will guide the children around their activities, support the activities as required and ensure that the school is looked after and happy.

Leamington Peace Festival
Volunteers required to help with the sorting of recycling and litter at the annual Peace Festival event in Leamington town centre. Volunteers give a couple of hours help at any convenient point over the weekend. There is a free meal in return for your help. It's a very simple and easy way to do something positive in your community and get involved with Action 21's activities.

Pumpkin day
Volunteers support various pumpkin related activities with children and their families at our annual pumpkin day. The event is usually around October time.
Food events
Volunteer support is always really useful at our community food events.
Christmas Green Fair
Support is extremely useful to ensure that this event runs smoothly.
