Green Champions
Would you like to sing from the rooftops about green issues, tell school children about climate change, talk to your neighbour about their red recycling box or just have a natter with people about composting, home insulation, your favourite cycle route, growing your own vegetables or where to take your old sofa? Well, whatever your interest, passion or level of knowledge is relating to green issues, it would be great to hear from you.
We're piloting a Green Champions project which enables volunteers to get trained up about sustainability issues, services that are available locally to help people live more sustainably and then how to communicate this information effectively to engage other people. Volunteers will then attend various public events and be the face of a 'Green Roadshow' to talk to people about how they can make a real difference.
The first group of Champions has now been established but if you are interested, please do get in touch as we will run another training session when we have enough people. Feb '08
For more details about this particular opportunity, please see the Role Description.
The project is under development so watch this space for exciting developments but to express an interest or have a chat about it, contact Michelle on 01926 456076 or e-mail michelle@action21.co.uk. We would love to hear from you.
