Project Overview
We produce and distribute a newsletter to our regular volunteers, which needs designing and formatting.  We also have regular events which need posters, plus various other design jobs.

Volunteer tasks

  • Receive the content of the newsletter/poster and design the layout
  • Use headings, photographs, illustrations and graphics as appropriate to make the newsletter/poster reader-friendly and attractive
  • Use Microsoft Publisher to create a master copy ready to be proofed and emailed out to subscribers.

Skills/previous experience sought

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Publisher or similar software
  • Experience of designing newsletters and/or posters
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and meet deadlines.

Minimum age: 18

Times needed:

  • The ability to commit to a minimum of three months in the role is preferable.
  • 1 shift of 3 ½ hours per week (9.30am-1pm or 1pm-4.30pm, Mon-Fri).
