Allotment Volunteer
Project overview
We have a number of allotments in Leamington Spa. Families visit some of our established allotments on a weekly basis to learn about how things are grown and to try some of the fresh produce. We also have a derelict allotment site in Whitnash which we’re in the process of restoring and so organise regular volunteering events.
Principal Function of Volunteer
You can volunteer on a regular basis and our on-going allotment volunteers are invaluable to us in ensuring the continuing success of our allotments.
But if you don’t have much time to give you can still be involved by volunteering on the allotment event days. These take place a few times a year and usually become a fun community social event where local residents get together at the site, enjoy the surroundings and often share some food.
The activities you take part in will depend on your individual capabilities and preferences.
Tasks and Activities
As a volunteer you will carry out some or all of the following activities, depending on your individual capabilities and preferences. This list is only a guide to the types of activities that may be required.
