Project Overview
Action 21 attends lots of local community events to showcase our projects and tell people how they can get involved in what we do.  We also run Dr Bike sessions where we provide free Bicycle MOT’s and run fun activities to encourage children to ride their bicycles.

Volunteer tasks
•    Prepare and run activities at these events
•    Plan and design different activities to engage children and/or adults

Skills/previous experience sought
•    No particular experience or skills are required as full training and support will be provided.  We ask individuals to be enthusiastic about the role and willing to learn to work using their initiative. Volunteers should also be willing to work in an outdoor environment.

Benefits of volunteering:
•    Expenses: We believe that volunteers should not be out of pocket for donating their time and effort and so we pay back all volunteers’ reasonable travel expenses. We can also usually provide a lunch voucher if you volunteer for a full day.
•    Full training and support will be provided.

Times needed:
For most of the events we ask volunteers for a minimum of a 2 hour shift.  For events further afield where transport is limited we may ask volunteers to help out for the whole day. Please contact us for a list of upcoming events.

Minimum age: 16

Location: Various, depending on the event.
