Engaging Community Organisations

The Engaging Community Organisations (ECO) project is a brand new Action 21 project . It aims to help local organisations and community groups understand more about climate change and other sustainability issues and to go on to develop environmentally-friendly initiatives.

We've developed some introductory presentations and workshops, and we'll be delivering the project through these groups. We'll take your group through the basics of climate change and sustainability and help you to work out how you can become more environmentally friendly.

The key to the ECO project is a range of ideas and local initiatives that are already successful in Warwick District. These are incorporated into various activities to encourage community organisations to become more sustainable.

Of course, the ECO project would be delighted to hear about other local initiatives. If you've got any exciting projects already running, please email ian.davison@which.net.

I run a sports club. Can you come and talk to us?

Yes! The ECO project wants to engage all kinds of local groups and organisations, from sports clubs and churches to women's institutes and housing institutions. Sustainability is important for all of us.

Together we can create a sustainable world

Are you a community leader? Get the ECO project leaders along to your community organisation and start the transformation. Email Ian Davison on ian.davison@which.net for more information.

Do you want your community organisation to be more sustainable? Or do you want to help out with the ECO project? Email Action 21 to find out how.
